FIU Swimming and Diving Holds Annual Year-End Banquet

 

MIAMI (April 25, 2016) – The FIU swimming and diving team held its annual year-end banquet on Sunday, April 24, at the FIU Stadium Club.

“This event has become a great tradition for our program,” Head Coach Randy Horner said. “It gets better each year.  Tonight was a great time to reflect on our season and accomplishments as well as focus on the ‘team’ and ‘family’ that we have developed.”

For the second-straight year, the FIU swimming and diving team made history. This time FIU posted the most-decisive victory in C-USA Championship history to claim the team’s second-consecutive league title. The Panthers claimed 15 of the 21 total titles during the four-day championships en route to a 954-point result. In all, FIU won 28 medals, including 15 gold, while setting eight school records.
