Florida International University Hosts Georgia Southern on Thursday

MIAMI (Dec. 14, 2016) – The No. 44-ranked FIU swimming and diving team (6-1) will host the Georgia Southern Eagles on Thursday, Dec. 15, at the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center.
The meet will begin 1:00 p.m. and is free to the public.
The Panthers have won six-straight meets and are coming off a strong appearance at the Louisville Invitational where FIU finished in second place, while tallying 16 NCAA B standard qualifying times, eight NCAA Zone B diving qualifying scores and breaking three school records.
Currently ranked No. 44 in CollegeSwimming.com’s national poll, FIU has totaled three C-USA Swimmer of the Week honors (Kyna Pereira – Oct. 18; Skye Carey – Oct. 25; Naomi Ruele – Nov. 22), while Rebecca Quesnel is the league’s only repeat C-USA Diver of the Week (Oct. 18, Oct. 25, Nov. 22) this season.
