Highlander’s Harrison Curley Leads the Lords to their 34th Title
SHENANDOAH, Texas – For the third straight season and the 34th time in the past 36 seasons, the Kenyon College Lords clutched the NCAA Championship trophy. The Lords finished with a total of 468 points, 85 points ahead of runner-up Denison University.
Highlander Aquatics alum Harrison Curley, now a senior at Kenyon, capped off one of the the most impressive meets for the Kenyon swimmers. Harrison defended his 2014 title in the 200-yard backstroke by setting a new NCAA record in the prelims by going 1:44.79. He returned in the evening to win the title with an even better time of 1:43.49. Overall, Curley swam in five events in the championship. He won three of them, all in national record times, and placed third in the other two.
Overall Harrison finishes his collegiate career with 10 All-American honors – awesome!
