Male Swimmer of the Week
Michael Duderstadt • Auburn, Junior • Panama City, Fla.
Floridian Michael Duderstadt (PCST) swept the breaststroke events in Auburn’s upset of #3 Florida. He swam a 1:04.44 (LCM) to win the 100 by almost two full seconds. Duderstadt also swam the 200 in 2:23.12 (LCM) to out-touch teammate and runner-up Jordan Jones by over half a second. He also swam the second leg of the winning 200 medley relay with a 28.89 (LCM) split and the third leg of the second-place 400 free relay, which clinched the dual meet win for Auburn. The win was Auburn’s first over Florida since 2011. Duderstadt has now won the 100 breast at four meets this season and the 200 breast at two.
Female Swimmer of the Week
Natalie Hinds • Florida, Senior • Midland, Texas
Hinds led the Gators to a 192-108 win over Auburn on Jan. 23, inside the Stephen C. O’Connell Center in Gainesville, Florida. The Midland, Texas, native gathered four wins on the day and clocked a U.S. Olympic Time Trial-qualifying standard in the 50-Meter freestyle. The American sprinter finished the day scoring 38 points for the Orange and Blue.
